Check Rack Dimensions Before Ordering
Compare the rack dimensions with your bike and vehicle setup. Check the instructions for the selected version and confirm clearance before use.
Will the E2 Plus Classic fit your setup?
For Classic with a foldable ramp only. Check the selected version before ordering; this guide does not cover Evo.
| Bike capacity | Up to 2 bicycles |
|---|---|
| Combined bike load | 200 lb / 90.7 kg maximum |
| Hitch receiver | 2-inch only |
| Maximum tire width | 5 in; check complete fit |
| Loading ramp | Foldable ramp included |
| Foldable / tiltable | Yes / Yes |
- Unequal bike weights are allowed. Place the heavier bike closest to the vehicle and stay within the combined-load limit.
- Not compatible with RVs or bumper-mounted receivers.
- Confirm bike, vehicle and hitch compatibility before ordering.
Bike and vehicle fit
Check tire fit, wheelbase, mounting contact points and vehicle clearance against the matching instructions. A maximum tire width alone does not confirm compatibility. Follow the vehicle and hitch manufacturers’ load requirements.
Also excluded: recumbent bikes, tandem bikes, trikes or other three-wheel bikes, scooters, mopeds and motorcycles.
Adapters, hitch extenders, swing-away adapters and front hitches are not recommended because compatibility testing has not been completed. For cargo bikes, contact Support with basket position, dimensions and bike details before ordering.
Bike weight and loading order
Use actual transport weight, including any battery or accessory left installed. For example, 120 lb + 80 lb meets the 200 lb combined-load limit; load the 120 lb bike closest to the vehicle. All other fit and vehicle requirements must also be met.
Frame contact points
For step-through and step-over bikes, the seat tube is the preferred upper contact point. The top tube is a secondary option for suitable non-carbon frames. For carbon-fiber frames, CRAVOT recommends seat-tube contact and advises against top-tube contact.
The bicycle manufacturer must permit clamping at the chosen contact points; this is not approval for every frame.
Installation, loading and manuals
Follow the complete rack and bicycle instructions; this overview does not replace the manual.
- Install directly into the 2-inch receiver and secure the hitch pin lock.
- Open and position the ramp, then load the heavier bike closest to the vehicle first.
- Secure the front wheel, rear wheel and seat or middle tube as shown in the manual.
- Check that both bikes are secure before driving. Recheck straps and bike position regularly on long trips, especially after rough road sections.
