Hitch Bike Racks for E-Bikes and Standard Bikes

We just purchased this bike rack, and so far it has been great.

I find this e bike rack easy to assemble, install and use. Hold our 2 bikes securely and loads quickly. It's a plus having a ramp to load them, though the ramp can be a bit narrow to use. The only issue I can see is that taking the rack off the car is a chore, so it stays on. The rack is heavy for one person.

Great ebike rack

Before buying the Cravot Mastjack, I had been assembling and working on e-bikes in my garage without a repair stand. It worked, but it was definitely a pain—especially as the bikes got bigger and heavier. Since I was also considering opening an e-bike shop, I finally pulled the trigger and bought the Mastjack.
The stand arrived in two boxes and was surprisingly easy to assemble. Once together, I immediately started putting it to work on a pretty wide variety of e-bikes. I've used it with everything from a small kids' moped-style e-bike all the way up to a Wallke H7 weighing over 100 pounds. The Mastjack has handled them very well and feels extremely solid with a heavy bike on it.
One of my favorite features is the lifting system. You can raise and lower the mast using a drill, which makes lifting a heavy e-bike incredibly easy. There is also an included hand crank, but in my opinion, it takes way too long to raise or lower the mast manually. Once you've used a drill, you're probably not going back to the crank.
I also really like the rotating clamp. Being able to rotate the bike—even completely upside down—can make certain repairs and adjustments much easier.
That brings me to the one area where I think Cravot could make an important improvement.
I would like to see larger and stronger hardware used to secure the clamp to the rotating arm. While I was rotating one of my bikes, one of the bolts snapped. This caused the clamp to rotate uncontrollably and the bike hit my garage floor. Fortunately, the bike wasn't damaged.
I drilled out the broken bolt, tapped the hole, and replaced it with a hardened bolt. I haven't had an issue with it since, but considering the weight of the e-bikes this stand is designed to handle, I think stronger hardware should be used from the factory.
Despite that incident, I would still recommend the Cravot Mastjack. I've worked with some very heavy e-bikes on it, and I believe it's one of the strongest e-bike repair stands available. The ability to easily raise and lower a 100+ pound bike makes working on these machines dramatically easier than trying to do everything at floor level.
If you regularly assemble, maintain, upgrade, or repair your own e-bikes—especially heavier fat-tire or dual-battery models—I think a heavy-duty stand like the Mastjack is well worth the investment.
**Pros:** Extremely sturdy, handles 100+ lb e-bikes, easy assembly, drill-powered lifting is excellent, and the rotating clamp is very useful.
**Cons:** The hand crank is slow, and I believe the clamp-to-rotating-arm hardware should be upgraded to stronger, larger bolts.
**Bottom line:** Even with the bolt failure I experienced, I would buy the Mastjack again. For anyone who regularly works on heavy e-bikes, having a stand capable of safely getting the bike off the floor and into a comfortable working position is a game changer.

If you are older and work on your own bicycle ; this bicycle work stand is a game changer. This stand will put your bike at a level that is comfortable for bike maintenance and repair. I wish I had had one 20 years ago.

Very strong and carries the bike solid

Purchased this rack to go on the back of my 5th wheel carrying 2 Lectric XP4 e-bikes. Assembly was relatively straight forward and the rack is very sturdy. Putting in the threaded locking pin on the hitch is a bit of pain because it's very tight. I ended up using my impact driver to get it in and out. Once in place though, it's very sturdy and doesn't wobble a bit. Once the bikes were strapped in place, they were very secure and didn't move on the rack a bit going down the road.

I only have 2 minor issues with the rack.The first is the end of the rails hit my rv ladder so I can't put the rack at 90 degrees to install or remove it, making it a little more challenging to get at the hitch locking pin. The second is it doesn't project out quite far enough so I have roll the inner bike up at angle away from the trailer and ladder. I also have to fold down the handle bars on the inner bike otherwise it rubs on the back cap of my trailer. The handle bar ends up about 2 inches away from the back of the rv. I can live with both of those issues.

Very happy so far with the quality and functionality of the X2. I’ve usd the rack about 20 times with a mix of one and two bikes. One bike is an e-bike that ways about 55 lbs and also has fenders. I was going to purchase 1up double rack, but this rack performs just as good at over 1/2 the cost.
I’m keeping the rack on my truck 100% of the time using the folding option. The only drawback is the latch is very tight to release the folding mechanism. I did put my license plate and a backup camera on the rack to abide by our state laws and help with backing up. (I have a Ram dually with an 8’ bed) Would highly recommend if you want a secure, and well built bike rack.

Easy to assemble and super sturdy.

Con: 2025 Toyota Sequoia needs an extension hitch to open rear hatch. Also, the locking threaded bolt is too short to use on stock tow hitch. I'm guessing it should work fine on the extension piece.

I'm so glad bought this stand. I've been using it all weekend changing tires and other maintenance on my 80lbs ebike. The stand can lift and rotate 80lbs any angle you want to work at. Very stable.

not being strong enough to get it onto truck.

I can't believe how nice this thing is. Assembly was simple and everything fit perfectly. The instructions are actually in easy to understand ENGLISH!
The quality is off the charts. It is so robust it picked up my 100lb plus e-bike like it was a child's toy. It is fairly compact and so overbuilt it will certainly be the last stand I will ever need. I could not be more impressed or pleased.

I can't believe how easy it was to assemble. The fit and finish are amazing. This thing is so robust I can't understand why its only rated for 150lbs. it is absolutely bike shop quality. it picks up my 115lb e-bilke like its a child's toy. I have an Amazon stand that struggles with a 65lb bike. if you need a bike stand I'll put this up against anything out there. I couldn't be more pleased.
