I have a 1 1/4” shank Yakima rack for my car which has a 110 lb. Limit. My two ebikes weigh 95 lbs. with their batteries removed., to close for comfort. The Cravot appeared decent quality and a lot cheaper than another Yakima. When it arrived and put together (easy). I was surprised by the quality, very well made and WAY more sturdy than the Yakima. I highly recommend the Cravot and would definitely buy again. If you need a heavy duty e-bike rack, Do NOT hesitate, just buy one. You won’t be sorry. Unless you have unreasonable expectations.
I would have liked to see the ramp not be so loose at the hitch, moves back and forth pretty good going down the road.
My experience with Cravot has been super. Recently I placed an order for a new ebike rack. Was trying to do this while multitasking which was my mistake. I ORDERED THE WRONG RACK. When I realized I sent notes to customer service (Joy). She stopped the shipment corrected the order and adjusted the invoice for the difference. I was relieved and very happy. Thanks Team!!! So far so good! The rack easily holds our 2 E-bikes. One is 78 lbs the other is 55 lbs. they lock in nicely although I haven’t taken them on a trip yet. The rack seems very well made, and can’t wait to hit the road with it.
We haul 2 ebikes and this rack, handles them like a champ. The ramp is very flimsy and fat tires have a tendency to run over the edge. Very well built rack but the ramp seems to be an afterthought.
